  • Victoria Bourne and Chris Harper are the special duo Husky tones. They bring a unique, own-brewed mixture of punk rock, early blues and a tiny dash of folk. Victoria sings and plays drums and Chris plays guitar and both take off and add percussion instruments in hand. You have to be inventive and feature you want to convince in such a small garrison of good songs. They succeed with gusto in there. Who Whill I Turn to Now? is the second album by this couple. The debut Time for a Change was showered with positive reviews and was widely played on national and international radio stations, with this album is certainly no different. Chris excels especially in heavy guitar riffs and drumming of Victoria should be there. But it is especially the vocals that excites me the most. Especially in the quiet songs which comes into its own. The Island of Barbed Wire and particularly Put Your Arms Around Someone You Love are therefore favorite. No surprise that Victoria also professional vocal coach. The subtle guitar work is not to be sneezed at in the latter number. The lyrics are mainly social, historical and political themes based. Live they are a sensation, so high time that this British duo comes to the Netherlands for concerts.

  • ‘Husky Tones are keen on breaking into new ground completely. There are loose rules to Blues of course, but this band have just torn up the rule-book. It has a primal earthiness about it, redolent of both early Blues and Punk Rock – unusual bed-mates that strangely have united thanks to Victoria and Chris. There are some uncompromisingly good heavy guitar riffs present in many of the tracks, and some haunting and unique vocals. Lyrics are very good throughout, dealing with various topical historical, social, and political themes. This is refreshing subject matter for a Blues band to handle’. Phil The Music Quill
