Magical Mystery Tour is an album by the English rock band the Beatles that was released as a double EP in the United Kingdom and an LP in the United States. Produced by George Martin, both versions include the six-song soundtrack to the 1967 film of the same name. The EP was also released in Germany, France, Spain, Yugoslavia, Brazil, Australia and Japan

Magical Mystery Tour is the ninth album recorded by The Beatles between 25 April and 7 November 1967, which was made to correspond to the film, Magical Mystery Tour. It contains several songs from the movie such as "I am the Walrus", and "Blue Jay Way". Magical Mystery Tour contains songs from the movie of the same name, and the album version (which replaced the UK double-EP version as the international canonical version in 1976) also contains other singles.

The chaotic production of the Magical Mystery Tour movie had not yielded enough music to fill more than one side of an LP, but too much for an extended play single. There was so much money tied up in the production - due to air over British television on December 26, 1967 - that it had to be exploited and supported with a record release. So EMI released a double-EP set in England that wasn't much more coherent (in the most literal sense of that word's root) than the movie to which it was attached creatively (but a lot more fun).
